Art and craft exhibition

Three talented craft makers, Rose Brooks, Grace Evadne, and Diana Yearwood held an exhibition in the school hall on Friday morning. They have been working together as a group only since April, but in that time they have produced a wide range of excellent art and craft items as seen in the photos above and below. The tea towels were made by Rose’s school students, who also sanded down the wood for the cups and calabashes.

Their art and craft will be exhibited again on 30 June in the Zabeth Handicraft Centre. Rose, Grace, and Diana will possibly be taking over part of this building to establish an art and craft shop and museum. They are visiting old folks to collect items of interest and photos from days gone by, and already have flat irons, pots, and yabbas. They will sell Barbudan drinks and snacks from the centre.
