There are many small shops on Barbuda and they currently sell a range of things from food and drink to essential hardware and toiletries. Listed below are some of the variety stores, shops and supermarkets. Our everyday supplies are sometimes hard to find and things can be much more expensive than Antigua, but this is mostly as a result of Barbudans having to import everything from there and bring it on the ferry or the small cargo boats that come once a week. However, the fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables that are produced here on Barbuda are cheaper and better quality than in Antigua, so when shopping, buy from local people where you can.
