camping and glamping

At weekends and especially on holiday weekends since time began the coastline all over Barbuda fills with locals bringing music, food, and truck-loads of people to spend time together in a shack living by the sea. People camp for nights catching and cooking fish, deer, wild boar and land turtle, which are then shared or sold in the village.
You can bring your tent to Barbuda but seek permission to camp on Council land or ask a local person to assist you to find a suitable spot. There are no official campsites or facilities for camping on Barbuda, so no showers, no drinking water!
You can however experience Barbuda outdoor life in comfort at Frangipani Glamping in their beachside Cabana with all your equipment provided. They have a well-equipped kitchen, an outdoor shower, a barbecue and fire-pit area, beach equipment, books and games and all the essential supplies for a few nights under the stars, with like-minded neighbours in their guesthouse next door.
