camping and glamping

On holiday weekends the coastline all over Barbuda fill with locals bringing music, food, and truck-loads of people to stay in a shack and spend time by the sea. People camp for many nights – often in the caves – catching and cooking fish, deer, wild boar and land turtle, which are then shared by everyone. You can bring your tent to Barbuda but seek permission to camp on Council land or ask a local person to assist you to find a suitable spot. There are no official campsites or facilities for camping on Barbuda.
You can however experience Barbuda outdoor life in real comfort at Frangipani Glamping in their beachside Cabana – with all your equipment provided. They have a well-equipped kitchen, an outdoor shower, a barbecue and fire-pit area, beach equipment, books and games and all the essential supplies for a few nights under the stars, with like-minded neighbours in their guesthouse next door.
