Frangipani Eco-Lodge
Frangipani Eco-Lodge is a stylish two-bedroom guest house sharing the same beautiful Atlantic beach as Frangipani Cabana. It’s locally-owned and fully solar powered, with two large en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen diner and an outdoor gallery space on each side with great views of the north-east Barbudan coastline, spanning Two Foot Bay to Fishing Creek. The sea beyond the reef is exhilarating with crashing waves, but inside the reef you can swim in much calmer water and enjoy the natural world right there. You will be swimming among diving pelicans and other sea birds, and snorkelling with ocean creatures such as rays. It’s incredibly beautiful and although you will mostly have this long, natural beach all to yourselves, you may also meet your Cabana neighbours or local fishers, hear a deer hunter or just make friends with a wild donkey.
You can try living sustainably for yourself – catching your own seafood suppers or showing your children how to make camps in the shade of the bush and cook on open fires. You will be snorkelling for those elusive and hard to catch lobsters, beachcombing, reading for hours, or just drinking rum and staring at the stars and satellites crossing the sky. You might want to share a Tommy Hill happy hour with like-minded glampers but there is enough space to be completely independent of each other. The guest house is only a fifteen minute drive into the village and local shops, bars and restaurants. You will need to hire a car unless you are planning to stay put at Frangipani for your whole stay, in which case bring all your food and drink with you!
Book now or for the 2027 season on airbnb or find more information on their website. If you prefer you can visit the Cabana page to book a few nights there instead, or book both accommodation out for a bigger group of up to six adults.
And do read the reviews from our guests to find out how much they have loved living completely off-grid and free from the busy world at Frangipani Barbuda…
‘This is a very special place that has a magic to it. Completely away from everything, true peacefulness! We felt very much at home. For being in a rustic location, the guesthouse was very modern and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Asha was such a helpful hostess, and even provided a local phone which was quite helpful to make plans on the island. We would have stayed for longer if we had more time, and we would definitely stay again!’
