Young Commonwealth Competitions 2011

The 2011 Young Commonwealth Competitions in film, photography and writing are open to entries, and the deadlines are fast approaching. Young people from Antigua and Barbuda are invited to make their voice heard on a global platform by engaging with the issues that mean the most to them. This year, entrants are encouraged to get creative with the 2011 theme: ‘Women as Agents of Change’.

Win a trip to London, meet famous authors, film directors and photographers, and see your entries exhibited around the Commonwealth. Join the thousands of young people that enter the competitions every year. Winners are often those picking up a camera or putting pen to paper for the very first time.

To enter the world’s oldest and largest schools’ writing competition, get your essays in by the 1st May. Photographers and filmmakers have until the 1st June and 1st July. See the Royal Commonwealth Society website for full details.
