Take a Journey to Heaven

Take a Journey to Heaven with The Young Leaders of Sir McChesney George Secondary School and members of the Barbudan community. This play focuses on a young man’s gradual understanding of repentance and forgiveness when he enters into ‘after death’. The authors, Cleopatra Isaac, Paula Henry, and Darleen Beazer, have developed the concept that 6 degrees of separation between people mean our actions always affect the lives of others. The actors, Devon Warner, Tenesha Beazer, Salim Cephas, Adonia Henry, and Leona Desouza, will be appearing at SMGSS at 7pm and a week later at the Cathedral Cultural Centre in Antigua on Saturday 8 April 2006.

“Shaping the Future”, the theme of the 2006 Young Leaders’ project, encompasses cherishing life, embracing family values, and respecting one another. In the play the value of respect is addressed in drama, dance, and song, using all aspects of the arts to embrace a vision.
