In spite of mounting local concern; anger about their complete disregard and ignorance of the Barbuda Land Act, and the lack of proper consultation with Barbudans according to this Act (we still don’t know the details of the deal) Mr de Niro continues to promote Barbuda as a place ripe for development. Presumably because he has been told this by his new best mate Gaston Browne. This issue has set back the sustainable development of Barbuda by twenty years as soon there will be another court case to pay for. We are not a ‘celebrity private island’ Mr De Niro, and we never will be.
