There is a total apathy between the two islands when it comes to the professional delivery of essential services. Since Irma there has been nothing from the Antigua government. The Samaritans Purse volunteers have rebuilt nearly all the homes’ roofs, the Red Cross have distributed aid, the UN have shared re-building materials. And we are still waiting for electricity from APUA in Antigua – a basic requirement for everyday life and for our businesses to start again and to prosper.
