Cruise ships to call in 2015 (haven’t we heard this before?)

The typically unimaginative option of Cruise Ship Tourism raises its ugly head in Barbuda again since the Barbuda Council signed an agreement with Denco Management, which is part owned by Eli Fuller (who ironically operates an Eco Tour in Antigua) as the exclusive agent for smaller size cruise tourism on the island. In July, Cabinet also reportedly approved a 50-year lease for Denco to develop a cruise facility at the River Wharf in Barbuda. The last experience of cruise ships coming to Barbuda was good for taxi’s but pointless for anyone else – they spent the whole day complaining how expensive Barbuda is because they have already paid for everything on board.
