Caribbean coral reefs under threat

A feature from The Guardian in London today revealed the extent of the damage to our coral reefs in the Caribbean. The reefs in Barbuda are suffering too: from spearfishing, visitors who moor their boats to reefs and use jet skis, and from hurricanes and other environmental damage, all contribute. A petition was initiated in Antigua in June to express concern about both islands through the Fisheries Act.
