After a long wait while they counted all the votes – not box by box as usual – and without allowing anyone in to enter the hall except for a select few, the result of last night’s Barbuda Council election is a wake-up call for the BPM and a hollow victory for the campaigning of the ALP – who without Asot Michaels input of cash and BPM’s abysmal leadership could not have scored so high. But when misguided BPM Councillors confuse supporters with opposition, pay people to do nothing and encourage corruption it is a protest vote they must listen to.
