government offices - post office and tourism

The Tourism Office has been completely renovated and repaired and is now a welcoming place for visitors to find out more about Barbuda. It has a toilet facility and advice and information from a helpful team. Picnic benches have been placed on our beaches and you are welcome to use them.

The Ginnery (above left) lost it's roof and is out of action. it was once used to store sea salt, and was the place where Council meetings were held. The old Government House is pictured below.

Below left is the current Council Administration building - now repaired - with what was the Post Office opposite, which is also recently repaired.

There is also a community centre that was open for private hire and local events, on River Road, but which is currently still occupied unecessarily by the Antigua Defence Force.

We like this...

Now, it's been too long.
Too long, too long in slavery.
Free the people and let them move in liberty
Now, it's been too long.
Too long, too long in slavery.
So the struggle continue.
But while the struggle continue, I'm going to tell you.
We rastaman will set the world free...
