Going somewhere? Not to Barbuda it seems.

Yet again we face limited transport to and from Barbuda as the ferry is in dry dock in Antigua. Look around the Caribbean at other islands: St Kitts/Nevis, Anguilla/St Martin, Antigua/Montserrat. All have large ferries and flights that run more than once every day to the mainland.  The limited availability of transport  affects everything Barbudans do – our cost of living, our tourism and other businesses, our chances of good health care, our children’s education, our participation in sports and our development as an independent nation. Barbuda needs a port of entry now and a proper transport system to go with it.
