He will escort you on the forty minute walk to Darby Cave to see this amazing natural sink hole, describing the flowers and wildlife as he goes, or to the Two Foot Bay caves. George Jeffery has assisted many sailors into Barbuda and is a warm, welcoming and experienced guide who is well known to visitors on both land and sea. He can supply lobster to your boat and give you a tour of the bird sanctuary and lagoon. He is also an expert hunter. Guinness is well known to all who moor their yachts at Low Bay and has a boat ready to take you across the Lagoon into Codrington, out fishing, or to the birds. He can cook lobster on the beach and arrange a few beers for you too. His number for a boat ride is 725-3753.
Jamoree is a friendly young guide who knows most of Barbuda's natural beauty secrets. He specialises in walking tours and goes to Darby Cave where you may surprise a deer or landturtle on the way or to the caves at Two Foot Bay. He can tell you all about the local wildlife, trees and plants and their traditional uses and he grows fruit and vegetables in his yard so can often supply coconut water or salad herbs for cooking. He is also a keen horse trainer and knows all about this sport on Barbuda. Jamoree doesn't have transport so you will need your hire car (or book a taxi) for the tour. Mr Levi John is one of the busiest day tour operators currently offering guided minibus tours on Barbuda. His tours are sometimes run as a package in partnership with the ferry service but he also takes private tours at other times. His ferry day tour takes you to all the best spots on Barbuda in one day - including the caves, the beach and the Frigate bird sanctuary and it includes a lobster lunch at his River Beach Bar and Grill at River. Mr Joseph (also known as Rats) has a wealth of knowledge about Barbuda and is a popular and expert guide particularly to the more difficult to access caves and sink holes.
