Currently the hospital has Cuban doctor support and Barbudan doctors who have trained in Cuba and are completing their training, along with qualified Barbudan midwifery and other nursing staff. There is a 24-hour emergency service from Hanna Thomas Hospital with ambulance assistance. The contact number for the hospital is (268) 460-0076 either for regular appointments or in an emergency at any time. Serious emergencies are flown to Antigua. There is also a pharmacy with a fully trained pharmacist on duty but with limited supplies and a pharmacy in the village. The hospital has an additional office number which is (268) 460 - 585.

A dentist also resides permanently on Barbuda, the dental clinic (below left) is situated near the hospital.

The police station (below right) is in the middle of the village and is staffed by a mainly non-Barbudan police force.

Barbuda also has a fire engine on duty at the airport for every plane landing and for other services.

Now, it's been too long.
Too long, too long in slavery.
Free the people and let them move in liberty
Now, it's been too long.
Too long, too long in slavery.
So the struggle continue.
But while the struggle continue, I'm going to tell you.
We rastaman will set the world free...
