Finally after a long wait, work has started on the wharf at River. It will be rebuilt over a period of six months to accommodate improved docking for boats and a new port of entry. This will transform life here, and enable us to import (and export) essential goods and services direct to and from Barbuda instead of having to make tedious, time-consuming and costly visits to Antigua to clear everything at customs there
The Barbuda Blue Halo project aims to consult extensively with local people to zone the seas around Barbuda to help safeguard Barbudan fishing for food and for trade in the future.
