The developer, Tariq Malik, will make a presentation to the general public regarding a proposed development of an hotel in the Palmetto-River area. This is the first public meeting held to solicit a response from Barbudans regarding the hotel. The meeting, from 9 am to 3 pm, will be held in the main hall of the Holy Trinity School or in the Barbuda Council Hall. Application forms will be available for those seeking employment.

Chad Knight-Alexander has been appointed the Director of Works for Barbuda. Initially his portfolio includes planning, infrastructure and development, but other responsibilities will be included over time. Congratulations to Chad.
Maverick Weatherhead and perhaps Sophia Charles will be competing in the Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT) Games for athletes in the under-15 age group. The trials will be held in Antigua on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 June.
Every summer different teams of missionaries visit the Barbuda Pentecostal Church. This year a team of 19 from The Victory Church in Florida will be conducting a daily vacation Bible School for young people of all denominations at the Church. The school will held from 9 am to 12 midday and students will take part in bible study, art and craft, games, skits, dramatic presentations, stories, and songs. In the afternoons the missionaries will work on the nursery and computer room in the Education Centre. They will be painting, tiling the floors, and putting on doors.
For further information contact Pastor Nigel Henry or Mrs Sonia Harry, the Youth Director of the Barbuda Pentecostal Church.
